【摘要】:Generalpurposeandmanyspecialtyrubberswillundergoozonecrackingwhenexposedtoozonecontainingatmospheres,whenthetestspecimensoractualuseproductsareunderacertaindegreeoftensilestrain.Certainadditivessuchasantiozonantsandwaxesinhibitorpreventthiscracking.Variousrubbersandrubberformulationscontainingsuchadditivesarecustomarilyevaluatedunderstaticordynamictensilestraininlaboratoryozonechambers.ThisstandardprovidesforanaccurateassessmentoftheozonecontentofsuchchambersusedinTestMethodsD518,D1149,D1171,D3395andISOStandard1431I/II/III.Foradditionalinformationonozoneanalysis,refertoCodeofFederalRegulations;Title40Parts1to51.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthefollowingthreetypesofmethodsforthedeterminationofozonecontentinlaboratorytestchambers.MethodA(UVabsorption)isspecifiedforreferenceorrefereepurposesandasameansofcalibrationforthealternativemethods;MethodB,instrumentaldevice(electrochemicalorchemiluminescence);andMethodC,wetchemicaltechniques(see).Thesemethodsareprimarilyintendedforusewithtestsfordeterminingrubberozonecrackingresistanceandthusareapplicableovertheozonelevelrangefrom25to200mPa.Note1Priorto1978,ozoneconcentrationswereexpressedinASTMD11Standardsinpartsperhundredmillion(pphm)ofairbyvolume.Seeforanexplanationofthechangetopartialpressureinmillipascals(mPa).1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecifichazardstatement,seeNote0and.Note0Warning-Ozoneisahazardouschemical.
